To reduce our carbon footprint, CROWN SHREDDING recycles 100% of their paper material.  Burning the paper would create 300,000 pounds of carbon dioxide. Every month CROWN SHREDDING recycles about 200 tons of paper.       With these efforts we save:     3400 trees     76,000 gallons of oil     600 cubic yards of landfill space     800,000 kilowatts     140,000 gallons of water   We have also partnered with the National Arbor Day Foundation and the Florida Division of Forestry to replant over 360 new trees every year.  Every 17 trees saved can absorb a total of 50,000 pounds of carbon dioxide from the air each year!

When CROWN SHREDDING destroys E-Waste, all confidential information is eradicated and renders the item unusable.  Electronic items that are no longer usable are recycled through an advanced process that separates raw materials.  E-waste represents only 2% of landfill waste but it totals over 70% of toxic waste.        Examples of E- Waste:     Personal Computers, Laptops, Hard Drives, Monitors     CD’s, DVDs, Magnetic Tape     Scanners, Fax Machines     Business Machines     Medical Equipment, X-Rays These recycled commodities are then used to manufacture new items saving our earth’s valuable resources!
